Frances Myers
Wisconsin native Frances Myers spent a considerable time in San Francisco and London before returning to Madison, where she teaches at the UW. She has been described as an "Imagist with vision." She has concentrated on printmaking - etching, monoprint, and woodcut- although she frequently spends blocks of time painting and drawing.

According to the critic Kip Fitzgerald, "She commands attention and scrutiny in her work in two separate ways. The first, by the powerful employment of a palette of primary and complementary colors, and secondly by the marvelous effects of washes, strokes, scratches, and linear drawing she shifts into and out of.
