Martha Glowacki (b.1950) is a sculptor and installation artist and holds an MFA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her art explores the human understanding of the natural world through the history of science and scientific illustration. She engages with this subject matter by studying collections of natural history specimens which has resulted in a development of her own method of symbolizing death and rebirth through images taken from nature. Her work has been exhibited at the Chazen Museum of Art, the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art, the Milwaukee Art Museum, the Racine Art Museum, the John Michael Kohler Art Museum, and others.
